As a wedding is a one-time event, we are prepared for the unexpected. Shooting a wedding is both exhausting and invigorating as we are constantly looking for great angles and opportunities for candid images. Communication and planning time-lines before the event will alleviate many of the stresses associated with photographing couples on their special day. The ability to tactfully take charge also helps – particularly when photographing large groups or families – a common expectation after the ceremony.
During the film era, photographers favoured colour negative film and medium-format cameras, especially by Hasselblad and Mamiya.
Today, our weddings are photographed with professional digital SLR cameras offering superb image quality reproduced in stunning magazine style albums, High Definition (HD) quality DVD’s and Blu-ray slideshows. Generally, our primary approach to our wedding photography is Photojournalistic. On the your day, we create classically posed images and combine them with a Photojournalist style of wedding photography taking our cue from editorial reporting styles and focusing more on candid images with some photographer interaction and direction.
